Get an app on your phone then you don't have to haul the computer around. Hook the phone up to the speakers and let her rip. We run an Ipod on the boat for tunage. Works great!

I agree, I perfer the quiet. We bowfishers seem to T off enough folks with our genny's & lights, music would just add more to the hatred.
Agreed, I like it for cleaning the boat in the yard,or party at house for tunes outside, running down river to go start fishing, killing time waiting to it to get dark to start fishing. Our system will crank without distorting but normally run low enough can still talk on the deck, but hear the radio, are running a Honda and LED's so don't run it very load at night on the gennie. It's really nice though fishing stingrays all day without gennie in the bay with no fear of bothering people though. Just have to be resposible with what we do.

there are times and spots it would be nice in from time to time not all the time and at full blast.

garpwacker you would be suprised here how many idoits are out on the water between 9:30pm to 3:30am with houses off the lake yelling hoopla'n music cranked up w/o a bit of respect for the lake residence. Most of us old timers are off the water by mid-night for the respect of the residences on the lake. Most of these residence are retired seniors, they find beer cans tossed up on their banks or piled up on their boat docks, one time a arrow was stuck into a pontoon on one of the residences boat. Respectable bowfishers dont do these things like this, specially guys of middle aged or older.
The lake residences filed a petition with the city council twice to keep us bowfishers off the lakes in their municipality because of the load noise. Twice we bowfisher sat in defending ourselves assuring these residences we would take care of the problems, that not all of us are like this, but the trouble comes from these younger bowfisherman tanked up on alocohol with make-shift bowfishing boats over loaded & their ghetto blaster cranked up.I've seen it 1st hand and others have too.
Garpwacker I can see what you do is perfectly cool, but what I've experienced and we're loosing places to fish because of these jack-off's who dont give a rats azz about respect for anyone. I like music like the next person especially my Lynyrd Skynyrd, Doc Holiday & Rebel Synicate their are boundaries and we should respect them.

Daytime trolling with the radio on is the way to go! Killing fish to 5 finger death punch is awesome!!!

I'm 32 and consider myself one of the "youngsters" because I just started bowfishing this year. I don't have a radio in my boat at all, nor do any of the other guys that I fish with (ages 22-35). I really don't like being stereotyped as a disrespectful or unlawful because of my age. I don't believe a young age has anything to do with being a chithead, nor do I think old age has anything to do with respect.

no body is disrespecting you, get real............if you dont act that way I decribed, then you shouldnt have to feel like your "targeted" (which your NOT) jeez

I run LEDs off of batteries so I get to listen to my radio all night without pissing anyone off :)

Makes shooting fish a LOT more fun!
I bet you dont have it cranked up either @ 11:30pm where residences have homes off the water? I have no issue with fishing with music, it's like I decribe drunk, yell, music cranked up @ late hours of the night, that is what makes local lake or river residenences act out they way they do. Granted some water front redisents are A holes and plan mean spirited & hateful........@ the world.

I don't think you are targeting me. Just wanted to point out that you're starting to sound like a crotchety old man b!tching about the 'youngsters' and their music. If you listen to Skynard you aren't old enough to talk like that or refer to yourself as an 'old timer'!
