I was working cows this weekend and noticed my 8 year old brother at the pond doing something suspicious. I walked down to the pond and he had made a bow out of trotline string and PVC pipe (because dad wouldnt let him outside with his browning) and he had made an arrow out of switch cane and split the ends to make a gig. He had managed to shoot several frogs, bluegill, and a grass snake. I wish I could of got a picture but he called it a day before I could get my camera. I can just imagine how much better off we'd be if the rest of the kids in this country spent their time like this!
