Anyone tried em? My stong a ree tourney points are all slopped out n screwin up. Wonder if the Muzzy design improved on them?

They do seem to be a little better connected to the ferrule an a little beefier than the Cajuns, I've only ever had one of the Sting a Rees' come off in a fish and it was on the bank and in the head so I had to "remove" it with my knife. I ordered the arrows from bowfishingextreme and used the upgrade to yellowjacket option. I check and tighten the tip after every shot too though.

I use them and I like them over the very few others I have tried for a couple reasons the tip does not come completely apart from the ferrule, the war head trip I "had" didn't make it one trip or land me a fish before the arrow came back without the tip, now in hindsight if I checked it for tightness after every shot I would still have it or at least for a little longer. Its easier to get the fish off than the regular muzzy point because there is more to grip and get out of the mud/roots because you can just twist it and the barbs loosen. I broke the barbs off real fast on some no name cheap points. Like I said though havent tried to many...

Never cared for the Stinger-ree tips but have taken a liking to the Muzzle Stingray heads. Seem to be a little beefer and tips stay on better.

Shot 2 fish with them today first one spun itself off after fighting it for about a minute (barbs were reversed) second one pulled out on a shot from tail to head (barbs wern't reversed) lost an arrow shooting at a third and cut my hand pulling out the replacment shooting at a 4th lol so far not too much diffrence from the cajuns I guess

I guess I'm the opposite... I like the stingaree tournament points better. Seems like the muzzy heads were constanly unscrewing in fish, and I lost several BIG fish because of it. I changed to the cajun point, and haven't had the first issue. The only thing I do different is switch out the factory tip with the Muzzy gar point. Seem to get better penetration with those.

**Edited to add- has anyone tried stacking a big fish adapter on the top of one of these style heads for really big soft-fleshed fish?

I shoot both and can't really say one is better, but the cajun tips are definitely better, always buy cajun tips for any points that use that style of tip, others might be sharper new for the fiirst shot but the cajun are much harder and last much longer!

Ive been shooting sting a rees forever and dont think ive ever had one unscrew while fighting a fish but i check mine all the time to make sure they are tight. You must be shooting way bigger fish than me cuz ive never fought one for over a minute either 30 lb grassies my biggest catch.

Was more like 30-45 seconds n I was just being lazy n seeing if it WOULD spin off. Have to agree with the cajun points staying sharper the replacement muzzy I put on has only been shot maybe 10 times and the tip is already rounded. I've had LOTS AND LOTS of fish spin OFF the Cajun but only had the head come completely off in the fish the one time. Just need to figure out a way to get it to not unscrew so easy, Maybe a piece of floss or teflon tape on the threads like I use on the actual tips would work.
