Hello all,

I am new to the site and just set up my duck boat for some bow fishing as well. I want your honest opinions please. I used 6 250w halogen worklights running off of a 2250 homelite generator. Would this provide sufficent light for bow fishing. I am used to using 55w floods and a spotlight. Will this work alot better. Thank you for your input.

better than what most of us started with. you will want more light though, but that should be good for now, the addiction just gets worse the more you do it. welcome to the site!

The only thing I would do is take those guards of the lights. Line loves to get hung in them. Other than that a great starter rig!

Take the guards off, flip the lights under the rail, and take the handles off the top of the housings. THe guards serve no purpose for bowfishing, nor do the handles, an like mentioned above, if you flip the lights under the rail, you will reduce what the line can get caught on after you stick a fish. I big carp can and will rip a work light right off its mounts, Trust me, been there done that!
