I bought a boat that has two regular red/green bow lights, mounted vertically on the sides of the boat (under the trolling motor):
They aren't easily visible, and I doubt they are legal, so I'd like to change them out. I don't want to put the regular light in the middle, I will probably kick it off or end up shooting it. I'd like to put two separate lights, one on each side. I found these that you can mount on the sides, I wonder if they will get smashed on logs and stuff though:

And Shark-Eyes which are nicer but you have to cut holes in the boat. I don't mind doing it if they are going to work better but I'd like to see if anyone has any experience with them.
