Looked at wires the diodes are burned now have to find new ones any help with that

Go to your local lawnmower shop. Most of the time they will have a pile of used motors. You may be able to rob a harness off of one. Its likely that harness will be interchangeable with other size engines. If not just order the new harness and have them print you a wiring diagram to make it easier to hook everything up.

Call briggs for excact replament or just buy some diodes/fuseable links at a electrical shop.

Diodes and fuseable links are not the same thing. A fuseable link is what it says, its a section of wire that will burn through before the rest of the wire does. A diode is a "check valve" for electricity. It will only allow current to flow one way and not the other. I am not sure which this harness has. I would suspect its a fuseable link. But a wiring diagram would tell you what it has.
