Any of you have experience wiring up the clutch to the front of the boat so you can engage and disengage it from the front? on the handle there are 5 wires connected to the switch, i guess my question would be what kind of switch would i need and how many wires connects to it.

Thanks for the help:D

im not familiar with it but im betting theres only one ground going to it. put a switch on your stick up front, that cuts the ground. should work as long as it doesn't ground through the block.

or if you can pull the original switch just cut all 5 wires and add enough wire to reach up front

That is a safety circuit going to the starter sol. It keeps the engine from cranking while the clutch switch is engaged. Looks like you could run the same ckt to the front. To make the clutch engage. Looks like you could break the circuit at the clutch. Then operate from the front. The safety ckt would not change.

Without breaking the safety ckt. I would not change that. I would put a switch up front. That switch would make the ckt to the clutch. Then again that is a long run. You could put a overkill, relay near the clutch to make or break the ckt to the clutch. That way you could have less voltage drop to your clutch. And that way you could have more than one engage switch.
