Well, Chad Jordan hit a sand bar at full speed and got his flatbottom stuck said it almost came to a complete stop and it did nothing. Im not gonna say if you hit a rock doing 60 something wont happen I mean at the end of the day its an aluminum boat. I will say theyre built strong and can handle abuse, just look through some of the build thread pics of what they entail. I know I roll over logs, stumps, rocks, boat ramps and everything else and have had no issues. Also if your doing poly, they do one of the best polymer jobs out there. Mine is un nutted and it dont leak a drop

I'm interested in this as well. how hard can I be on this boat and it still hold up?
Well Im not going to say that ******* builds an inmortal boat I mean at the end of the day its an aluminum boat. But if your worried about strenght one of the quarks of a custom hull is being able to go to a 3/16" bottom and even add polymer. But I will say his stock .125" hulls are tough.

Anybody that tells you they can build a boat that cant be torn up is a liar, but Im confident in saying they build a strong boat. Ive hit rocks sliding sideways, hit stumps that i thought would puncture my sides while sliding around a corner at 35-40 mph and so far nothing more than a few scratches. If your not doing anything this weekend come up and well go see what we can tear up haha

Clark I'll try and make it up to take you up on the offer, I'll pick you up if I go tommy

I see the guys from ******* are here too, they'd like to see some real input

How do you expect to get real feedback when you say you don't want negative feedback? Negative feedback should only help a business. Its a great way to learn and improve on things. Negative feedback can also help the consumer in making wise choices in the options and the way they want a boat built. I say take the negative with the positive. The good thing is, you can spend hours and hours reading old threads. You will find very little negative feedback about *******. About the only thing negative floating around out there is delivery times. Personally, I would rather deal with a business that stays alittle behind on a product. It says that most likely, they stay busy. When your busy, you likely to be around for a while.

Don't discount the negative feedback. Everyone learns from it. But FYI I am not for bashing. There is a difference.

I agree with Clark3, there is no such thing as an immortal boat. They all wear out over time and can be broken if abused. Tell your builder what you plan to do with the boat 90% of the time and build it to suit that. If your extremely hard on your equipement, be honest. Your builder can overcome that with a stronger design. Any boat built with the right materials and the right bracing can last a long long time. I see no reason why ******* couldn't fill that bill for you.

Exactly, I never said no negative just no bashing

I agree 100% without some negative feedback ******* wouldn't have gotton this far. And they still improve everyday from customer feedback. I would suggest PMing a few of the owners with some time on their boats or if you'd like I can get you some numbers. While feedback is important l, the most important thing is to know what you want. If your un sure just ask away and come to a decision on what you need. Those guys will make recommendations, review boat plans/drawings and give you their honest opinion. They know what will and won't work.
