i am useing 8 300 watt halogen lights and i am wanting to 4 through one cord. so what size cord should i buy im thinkin a 14 gauge and how would i splice each light into the one cord. thanks!!:hb:

i got 10 awg going from my genny to a junction box in the front, got all the lights wire nutted together, 4 on each circuit

1 #10x3 going to the front, then split to 2 diff switches with # 12x3 feeding 4 lights each and you should be good to go.
