Put the Fannman back on,nock an arrow,and take a profile pic.I don't think your nocking point is high enough.

Since this thread is in general discussion;
There are 2 things that are a must with every shot when you shoot a hard arrow off a hard rest-
1. Release is critical. Anything but a picturebook release will show up in arrow flight.
2. How you hold/grip the bow matters. Poor form will also gravely affect arrow flight.

Some people manage to do the above 2 things all night and have good sucess with the hard rests-epoxy, fishhook, Quick Draw, roller rests, Fan Man etc. As for myself, I often make sloppy releases and exhibit poor form in a bowfishing enviroment so none of the hard rests work well for me. When I switched to a bowfishing biscuit arrow flight became more consistent day in and day out.

This in no way is meant to detract from the Fanman or Quick Draw rests since they both are good products from good people--just that if you use a hard rest pay close attention to your release and form.

OBG i agree with this... but i shoot good on a wave or fishhook or hydroglide... wich are all fixed position rests just cant figure out why i cant get this fannman to shoot good....

Ok,now measure from the bottom of the arrow to the top of the shelf...on the front of the shelf.

Then compare that measurement to the other rest to see if both are sitting on the same plane.
they are not .... when i put the hydroglide on i have to readjust my nock point ... it sits higher... but that only takes me like 10 shots and bam bullets again.... i put the fannman on and readjust my nock point like 100 times and it shoots nock hi EVERY time....i dont get it..

:bff: :drunk: ...may have something to do with it?
Either that or he may be working up to sell some of those Skippy's PVC Bows.

Woah obg... we are in the deveopmental phase ...(kinda like the angler) it will be days to years before we are ready to sell these high tech peices of machinery, and put the bowfishing world on edge!

Just read through this thread. I hate to hear that our product may be the cause of some bad shooting. I will be glad to send you another rest to try if you would like. Just PM me your address. If the new rest works send the old one back so that I can study what might be causing the problem. If neither work send them both back and I will give you a refund. These rests are pricey and I don't want anyone unhappy with their purchase.
