Since this thread is in general discussion;
There are 2 things that are a must with every shot when you shoot a hard arrow off a hard rest-
1. Release is critical. Anything but a picturebook release will show up in arrow flight.
2. How you hold/grip the bow matters. Poor form will also gravely affect arrow flight.
Some people manage to do the above 2 things all night and have good sucess with the hard rests-epoxy, fishhook, Quick Draw, roller rests, Fan Man etc. As for myself, I often make sloppy releases and exhibit poor form in a bowfishing enviroment so none of the hard rests work well for me. When I switched to a bowfishing biscuit arrow flight became more consistent day in and day out.
This in no way is meant to detract from the Fanman or Quick Draw rests since they both are good products from good people--just that if you use a hard rest pay close attention to your release and form.
