I have been bow fishing for several years and with different boats. I am wanting to upgrade. My question is, am I better off buying a new tracker 2072 that is already set up for bow fishing rather than building one myself.

I am perfectly capable of building a boat from scratch, and have. I've bought a brand new Excel 2172. I've bought a dozen used aluminum boats. I called Longbeach, and like a bone head, I didn't have Robert build me a boat. Do yourself a favor and don't make the mistakes that I've made. Have Longbeach build your boat. Time and time again, we read about what a stand up guy Robert is, and how he really does take care of his customers. In my experience with a brand new factory boat, service after the sale is extinct.
