I a big bowfisher in TX. My dad got me hooked when he took me out my first time and ever since ive lived bowfishing. Im in the Marine Corps right now about to get deployed and i have a beautiful baby girl on the way so my bowfishing days will be over for awhile. Im hoping to meet people on here and learn some new tricks. Ive gotten alot of my friends hooked on bowfishing and myself and 2 of my buddies have started our own bowfishing team (BackWoods Bowfishing). Ive tried many different bows and currently im stuck on my compound but last time i was on leave one of my teamates got me stuck on his recurve. Back home we shoot alot of big fish and the main problem is not getting enough penetration so when they run the arrow seems to almost always pull out. Ive been looking into the onieda and the Samick Sage takedown recurve. Ive never shot an onieda but ive heard many good things about em but i would like some input before i spend the money on one.

I love my lever bows. Get you a cheap Oneida H250 or Screaming Eagle. After that check out americaneaglebows.com and watch the service videos. If you have any further questions don't be afraid to ask, there are quite a few people on here who will actually help you even if its a question that's been asked a lot. Don't let search function trolls turn you away from asking for advice.
