No airboats? Guess I'm out then

 

Sorry man no airboats

 

What's the reason behind no airboats?

 

The wardens down here won't allow them due to the number of houses on the river. The decibel level is too loud

Why no airboat I shoot there in my airboat all the time
Is this same tournament that never happened last year ?

Looks like I'll need a kicker boat lol

 

I shoot down there at least 3-4 times a month and never had any trouble and I got a few buddies that do too.

 

I will speak with the wardens again and if they approve it then I will too

 

Price has dropped to 50. Trying to get more boats to shoot

 

Ok sounds good. I can get a few more boats to come if they will allow airboats

 

And if I need to call the wardens and talk to them personally I can do that too. Just let me know who I need to call

 

Same here Tom I've never had any problems with my airboat or your on that body of water

 

The main reason we say no airboats is they have an advantage over outboards and mud motors. We can't run fish down like y'all so that's why the rule clearly states no airboats

 

Why did y'all change the rules saying you can't go to Alabama

 

Just something we decided to do. Figured we would keep it in Tennessee since we don't have a single team from alabama

 

Well my team just won the muzzy this year out of a 1752 kicker boat and not my airboat just saying

 

congrats bud. but airboats is just something we do not want in our tourney. feel free to bring your kicker rig and fish it. if you want to register early you can call or text me at 423-664-2749 my name is cam moss. if we can get 10 or more boats in this tourney i plan on having them every other weekend

 

After speaking with the wardens we have decide on allowing airboats. There will be 2 classes of boats. Next tourney will be one class.

 

That's fine I was just trying to help with Yals turn out because I know plenty of people that would more than likely show up. But I'm not going to push a tournament unless airboats are allowed because that's just singling out one specific group and I'm not for than and never have been. Iv always supported the airboat guys even way back when I had my troller boat I stood behind them. I now own an airboat and Iv been beat plenty of times by troller, kicker and fan boats. One has just as much of an advantage over the other. Those troller and kicker boats can get under bridges that fan and airboat guys cant

as bubbarams23 said, if we can get enough air boats we will allow them to fish the tourney. guys with airboats tell everybody you know that has them and lets make this a big turn out

How many boats you got so far?

 

I believe 17. There's a couple of boats that I know are coming that just plan on showing up so there may be more or there may be less

 

bump. we need some more boats for this tourament!
