forgot to mention, but im gonna be using a 17 foot nitro. what would be the best way to mount these lights so i can take em off while not bowfishing?

 

You would need to get http://www.e-conolight.com/floods/small/small-hid/e-hc2h151z.html because they come with caps, they will pull around 2.5 starting and 1.5 running so you will have to turn 3 on at a time let them get warm turn the other 2.

 

4 lights would be more realistic since 5 warm will be 900 watts which is 100% of your genny's continuous rating. I don't think you will ever get all 5 lit without tripping the overload.

 

if you have a smaller boat, 4 of those lights will work fine.

so the plan is to make a wood platform with an 18 inch raise on the front of my nitro. ill run 4 of those lights with a switchbox and turn on 3 at first then the last after they warm up.

 

Hopefully not hijacking but what is the difference between the lights in the site in post 1 versus the site in post 3? The only reasoni ask is that that there is a descent price difference. I am looking to upgrade too to hps and looking for decent prices

 

I would assume that the 1st one does not come with capacitors...but that's just assuming...I didn't see that printed on the advertisement...

Lol 2 300w halos is enough light to fish we are all just wanting the best 4 150's will work. I run 4 400hps there is alot of guys who run 5 its all up to you

 

I ran 4 150s for a long time n it lights em up just fine u will b good to go
