Like said above, check the pick up pins. Make sure they are going all the way in. That sounds like the problem if it is loud with the line coming off. Did it shoot good at first and then mess up, or has it been messing up from the get go?

Garsack, I got some that have lasted a season and some two seasons....I ain't easy on them though.

I just bought 2 new muzzy's and after 3 shots the threaded piece inside of the rotating assembly has stripped off the main shaft. Needless to say I'm pissed. The other reel seems loose like its going to do the same thing.

Hey buddy, can you post pics of this. I preach Muzzy's to everyone and I would like to know what in the world could have happened. I will be in North C in a few weeks and I could possibly hook up with you and switch you a new one out for the damaged one. If the damaged happened after 3 shots it has to be something drastic and I am sure we can figure it out. Just let me know and please take a pic of the damage and post it. Thanks
