I'm gonna go out on a limb and say you'd need more torque, but we would need more info. What kind of flow rate and pressure are you looking to get out of it? You can get a portable self contained hydraulic power unit pretty reasonable.

 

why not just build a good reduction for it and run it. eventually I want to do the same

 

I have a very nice 500 HO on my scrambler making about 40 hp... lets do it!

 

There have been a couple guys on here that have done hydraulic fan builds. Check with them and see what they used. That'll give you a baseline to go with. I'm assuming you have a Rotax motor in the Polaris. They rev nice and reductions are available for them. If you decide to go this route the guys that run paragliders use reduction units.
