I need to know where to get some polymer for a fan boat. What kind and is it the same stuff they use in dump truck beds.

·yes, thats all you will need. As long as you dont hit anything at speed with your outboard, 1/4'' will last plenty long enough, the standard grade black will also be all you need too. Tooling along at fan speeds wont do too much damage to the poly, plus you probably wont be running too much dry ground either. LOL

I have it on my 1860 gator-tail....pounded it off rocks and logs and mud for a while now....no problem!

I will 2nd horn plastics...http://www.superslide.com/ I would not go less than 1/4" just to give the screws something to hold.
Really should give it a lot of thought to see if the weight gains will reaelly be work it. I havent seen a fanboat than can run dry yet.

Do it you're self...less then $900...pay someone i was quoted several thousand for a 18x8
