It gets asked pretty often what prop do I need to run on my fan or what fan motor for a certain boat. Maybe by having a list of setups already being used we can create a better source of this information for people setting up new fans by putting all this info in one place. Post your setup here to help others. I'll start with my old fan boat. Add in anything else that I left out.
Boat size: 1648
Fan motor: 16hp Duromax
Direct drive or reduction: direct drive
Prop: Hascon
Prop material: composite
Prop diameter: 30"
Number of blades: 3
Pitch: Not sure
RPMs at full throttle: 2800
RPMs at idle: 1000
Comments about fan setup: Prop lasted about 100 hours before blowing up. Never had it in any limbs and was in open water when it broke. Other than that it was a decent prop for the price, but I would not buy another Hascon. Duromax motor sucked as well. Listed at 16hp but was nowhere near that in my opinion, however, for the money it wasn't a bad fan motor. It would idle decent for a single cylinder, around 1000 rpm. I also only had 41 hours on the Duromax when I sold the boat so not sure on reliability of it. This setup worked OK for my little 1648 but any bigger of a boat would need a bigger setup. You get what you pay for and this was a cheap setup.
