Hey guys, I catch a lot of suckers in the spring when they run as well as a lot of carp from bowfishing. I want to save them for the fall for trapping but I'm not sure a good way to preserve them. This past year I have just caught minnows from my creek and put them in freezer bags and froze. Pain to use them though, have to remember to take them out and let them unthaw every time, messy, etc. Anybody have any good ways of storing A LOT of suckers and carp for fall trapping? Thanks!

Bucket and salt. Salt layer of fish salt layer of fish till bucket is full. It works great cut to the size you want them and start salting then when your ready to use in the fall save the juice and squirt it around your set.

The bucket will be 1/3 full of juice when done I also use the juice in my **** bait I make. Just drain out as much as you want and save the rest for the next time you need it. It works great because its just a fish smell and its oily.

I used a knife and cut them to the size I wanted I use everything.
