Well it can mess up the brushes in it. I have straightened mine before and the seals are cheap. You could also get a new armature pretty cheap also.

Be careful. If the lower unit (foot) was full of water when you picked it up and laid it on the deck, there's a good chance it also ran down the shaft and got into the circuit board. It's happened to me.

ok so i got it running..im going to run it but i lost right on the foot pedal...so im going to rig up a pole on top[ of the head and stear it using that hahahaha
