Ok I want to know if u and shoot slugs and buck shot out a shot gun with a choke if so what tipe of slug should I use or buck shot reason I'm asking is we are making a drive Monday for hogs in some thick stuff and the guy don't want me to use the AR so I would like I use the 12g

carefull with the slugs in a choke
improved cylinder or larger

buck shot you should be ok even with a mod-full

I shoot rifled slugs out of an improved cylinder choke. That will be fine for 00 buck. Won't get as much distance with the buck as a full or modified but it should be ok

I agree with the other two. Might not be the best situation but it will get you by for what your doing. For future reference the big problem is shooting steel through a factory choke. That's the big no no you mightve been thinking about.

Ya I wasn't sure I only use my shot gun to shoot skeet and trap and doves and I have a diff gun I duck hunt with it has a full choke in it I think what would be the best one to use I have a full improved and a mod

Improved all the way. Get you some heavy shot buckshot. Patterens great out of impoved choke and hits hard.

I wouldnt shoot pigs with buckshot.........ive had a few bad experiences. if You know youre gonna be close (30 yrds) you will prob. be ok. Anything after that you wont catch me ever shooting em with buckshot again. just my oppinion

I'm going to more like 15 yards in tall grass and shrubs I shot one with the 7mm in the front shoulder and he dropped and then jumpe up and started running at me the I shot it two more times with the 9mm at like 10 feet as it was running by me it ran down the hill ad I never found it so tomorrow I'm going back with the AR and the shot gun and I'm going to shoot every one I see

hahaha, Ive shot 2 pigs with buckshot. Both of them were at about 40 yrds or so, both were big big boars. I swear to baby jesus that the first one I shot right behind the shoulder and all I saw was a bunch of dust come off and it ran off. The other one got PISSED and ran at us (or just ran away but its dumb ass came tward us) it was stopped with a .45 quickly but either way it scared the hell out of me........one thing during the day, but another thing when it happens at night with a flashlight lol

eff pigs, I try to shoot right in the ear either that or if its not possible fill em with holes till they quit moving is really the only thing I have found that works haha ive had some bad bad luck with pigs

I shoot a light mod extended choke...
You NEED to take your shotty out b4 and pattern the slugs and buckshot...
My benelli shoots slugs high and my 930 JM pro shoots the same slugs high and left..

I'm headed out in the morning I'm going to shoot it at 50yards with the slugs and buck shot see where it hits at then me and a friend are making a push through pig heaven to see what we can kill/piss off lol ill post pics if we get anything
