Alright I found the perfect boat, my cousin has it and has used it for years, he doesn't have a title for it he just regesters an old boat then puts the new stickers on this boat( illegal I know) he is wanting to sell it, and I want it bad. I have been all over the boat and it does not have a vin plate anywhere and does look like a manufactured boat. Just curious if I could do some customizing to it and register it as a homemade boat? Any one done this or have any insight for me?

bring the boat with you to the TPWD office....he will issue the new number and youre on your way. Its not that bad. its not as hard as people make it to be...they probably havent gone thru the steps before.
