I still haven't figured out why some of you guys use those jacked up rests. And I don't mean just the quick draw. Why do you need anything more than a center shot channel, aluminum or epoxy? Why complicate a simple thing?

Amen to that.
Buddy of mine posted this on FB today. It happened last night. He tie to the back also so no slide or stopper. He is getting another QD even though he broke this one. Not sure how it broke he said he shot and it flew off and he hit the fish and reeked it in. Can't find the piece that broke off.

I couldnt get mine to stay in tune, or tune very well from the beginning, I just recently put on the RPM victory and have been very satisfied so far. I also tried a muzzy ttb for the first time. Man what was I missing

I can't do the epoxy style rests. Or the hook, or roller. I hold my bow at a 45, robinhood style. anything that isn't captured falls off the rest.

Sure you can. I shoot ***** style too and all of the rests you just mentioned are a big step up from that piece of crap.

This rest was on a wave. Did this rest break yes did I go the next day and buy another Quickdraw rest put it on and tune it YES. You know why cause this rest has been to hell and back its been on about three other bows and probably had taken a lick from a ball bat a few times throwed down in the bottom of the boat stepped on and everything else. The rest was previously shot with slides so its taken some licks in the past. I have had several plastic rests break and this is the first aluminum one to fail. My daddy always told me I could tear up a steel ball with a toth pick now I can say I tore up an aluminum rest with a piece of fiberglass and plastic.:D

The Fishook is actually pretty impressive. I thought the same thing when I was buying a new rest for my new bow, but it actually shocked me. I thought there is no way this thing is gonna be worth a flip, but I love it 100%. You would pretty much have to turn your bow upside down for the arrow to fall off the rest.

operator error my a$$ ! I put the stopper up even on my whisker biscuit, that ain't it.
after seeing the in-flight pictures that were posted, I wonder if the fast flight didn't loop over and half hitch on the rest somehow.

Whatever it is, phuck it. I'm out on the QD rest.
Whoa whoa there buddy that's my thread and nothing is near the rest in them pic! It all I shoot and and have never had a problem with thousands upon thousands of shots you sir are just looking to start something because you don't know how to use it !

well said! I don't even wanna try and count the 1000's of shots that have been through my QD with NO problems...

Whether you like the QD or not doesnt explain the problem. a muzzy with a rod and slides doesn't leave nothing but the stopper and nock going through the rest. Is your slide behind the QD? A new version on "to the back" with a slide? Your problem makes no sense towards faulty equipment at all. Sounds like you have a busted user operater assembly. Is the highest bid still $6. I have $7 and I'll pay shipping for it.

I disagree.

it's the Best rest IMO. Especially on a Airboat.

I suggest getting a shoot thru rod to help keep the line in front.

I have bent the shaft on the QD and it took me a few weeks to figure out why my shooting was so far off... the cool thing about QD was they replaced it for me no charge... good people and that was a few years ago and I have not had a issuie since...

I have had problems getting the fish hook rest to stay tight up against the bow. I have alot of people ask for the rest when I sale a new bow but haven't had good luck keeping it tight, you got any tips you want to throw out at me.

Honestly no I haven't come across this issue so I don't have a solution. IDK if I just got lucky and it works well with a PSE Wave. Not saying it won't have problems when things start to break in. I've only his this rest since July 3rd. I started out with a Muzzy Wheel of Fortune then tried a Tidal Wave neither of those worked out. I love the fishhook though literally no problems(so far).

None of what I read explains the issue.
If nothing is contacting the rest(other than the arrow sliding) it can't break. Unless its getting slammed around(bent in the boat)
