Radeon Ballast Issues Need HELP

I decided to give digital ballast a shot. I bought four 400 watt Radeon ballasts. I built a new ballast box last weekend with the (4) 400 digitals and (2) 150 watt magnetics. When I fired them up, the 150 lamps turned on fine, however 400 ballasts cut on the lamps did not fire. I took one of the 400's out to bench test it. Again, the ballast cut on but the lamp did not fire. I tested a second ballast with the same results. I have also tested three new bulbs to make sure it wasn't that simple. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

I have the pos/neg correct on the lamp. I just hope that I have them correct in the socket of the ballast. I will try and flip them tonight.

The ground (green wire) I didnt use on my existing magnetic set up. I read the other night that some lamps have to have the green hooked up to help ignite the lamp (no electrician on that site could explain why). Anyway, so I hooked the green up to the mounting screw on the socket with no luck. This brings me to another question. The mounting screw on the mogul base does not touch any metal inside of the socket (only touches the porcelain) so how does it ground the lamp?

So, I thought maybe the igniter was not igniting so as a process of elimination, I bought a MH bulb today hoping that it would fire....No luck, still nothing. On a positive note, if anyone is wondering if the Radeons are sealed....they are. I got pissed this afternoon and took one apart out of curiosity. Cant get to the guts. Completely sealed, which is a good thing....if you can get them to work ugh :headbang:

I did a little more testing this afternoon. I hope that at some point an electrician will chime in and solve my issues. I tested continuity between the 110v "power in" side to the three pronged outlet side. With no power to the unit, I have continuity on the ground lead only. No other configuration has any. Plugged the unit in and rechecked. All three prongs on the 110v side have continuity with the slotted plug on the outlet side only. No other configuration showed any continuity.

I've been doing a lot of research on my problem and am starting to think that the bulbs I bought are not compatible with digital ballasts. I have reached out to the vendor to see what they have to say. While I am waiting for their response, I was wondering what bulbs do you all run with your 250 watt digital ballast? Once I figure out the most popular bulb that yall use, I am going to order one and see if that fixes my issue.
