I'm building the light rail for my boat. What is a good height to build it?

Mines around knee height.

Any higher than 16 - 18", the short people start smacking limbs on it.

10-14 I think is perfect all around for short and tall people...

Just built mine at 18". Hit me just below the knee and have no problems with hitting limbs.

Mine is at 13" and I really like it. Never have to worry about it being in the way, not too low that its just a tripping hazard, and it's just high enough so you don't go overboard!

I've had from 12" to 16," it's enough to keep you in but not get in the way and not smack lever bow limbs.
