AMS has one that is light and is also a takedown.

 

My buddy shoots a martin jaguar and loves it. Im not sure how much it weights or anything like that though.

 

Yea, Martin makes a nice recurve also.

 

I've owned the kingfisher and martin jaguars and they both shot really well. I've never thought of either being heavy... I've heard good things about the Horizon that AMS is offering.

 

My buddy picked his up at Bass Pro for like 185 bucks. Brand new you can't beat it.

 

Save some cash up and buy a rebel IMO

man a shakespeare wonderbow is awesome for bowfishing i have a couple of em anbody shoot them thayre like 125 bucks light and shoot hard

Me and my cousin both shoot Martin Jaguar takedowns. I bought it specifically because the old compound I was using was so heavy. I like it a lot more. They can be had on Amazon for $153 for the camo version. I paid a bit more for the carbon one at a local shop - like to support the local guy when I can.

the kingfisher is heavy for a recurve. check out the samick sage that gets good reviews., and like team penetrate i love shakespeare wonderbows. greatree is another one in that price range.

 

i own hoyt,martin,black widow,pse,about 10 other custom,and hands down the toughest and the one i let people use who dont have there own stuff is a samick sage,rough tough,and if you blow a set of limbs you can get a set for 75 bucks

 

I shoot a Samick Sage and love it. It's a great bow for the money.
