Wiht our daughter home on leave after graduating from Marine Corp boot camp, we decided to leave the boat at home and take a trip with Marsh Masters out of Leeville, LA to go and hunt down some Redfish. We were a bit rusty since puttin the bows down for hunting season, but it didn't take too long to shake the kinks out. Brought home 6 limits of redfish and about that many sheephead, with a bonus flat fish and a nice speckled trout thrown in for good measure. What a great way to start off the shooting year.

The lack of fishing during last year's Bp oil spill seems to have given the population a HUGE boost. There were fish EVERYWHERE!!

Hope you can open the pic. First try on the new system.

Nice haul there! I haven't been out bowfishing yet this year, but the rod-n-reel fishing is phenominal all over in southeast, La.

Are you trying to tell me that something positive may have come from the BP oil spill? You better be careful, the enviro-nazis will be sending you a mail bomb if you keep saying stuff like that! Nice shooting, by the way, that looks awesome.

Nice job. Cpt. Darrel is a great guy and awesome guide thats for sure. We went to Chauvin Sat. night and only got 6 reds. Looks like we will be heading to leeville next time. was the water muddy?
We went through some area where it was pretty soupy looking, and some areas on the lea side of shorelines where it was pretty clear, and very easy to see em and shoot

Thanks, and the enviros can bring it on!! We saw the same kind of impact after Katrina, when the same Enviros predicted doom and gloom then. The reality is that with no one catching any of their food, and no one removing them from the water for a period of 4-6 months, the population blossoms out of control for a while. We were just doing our part to help bring the numbers back down to sustainable levels LOL
