What do you guys use out there and why? I shoot a retriever. But have been looking at maybe trying out a spinner.

I used a retriever last year and I didnt really care for it much. I made the switch to a muzzy spinner this year. Going to give it a try and see how it goes.

Well on my Screaming Eagle I have a Retriever Pro. My Black Eagle will be getting the Muzzy reel. Havent used the Muzzy reel yet but i really like the retriever.

I have both and tinker with spinners but the retriever stays on my bow.

Unless the fish are thick as hair on a dog's back it really don't make a whole lot of difference which one you use.

Spinner! Because I like to tie my line to the back of da arrow...but I will use a slotted retriever on the river every now and then after I had a huge gador Gar swim under a log and snap the line on my spinner...I still have nightmares about that fish...I Hate Retrievers. But they have their place n my tackle box...

Just depend on what I want to do with them... for me a spinner is smoother and faster... I like to fight 40 lbs commons on a spinner... have had no luck doing this with the Bottle... always have to set the bow down and hand bring them in... I was one of the 1st in the group of guys I shoot with to use a spinner and some gave me crap since I had to teach myself how to push the button... but a few weeks after I had some time under my belt... they couldn't even keep up with me...

i have never had any luck with spinners so i use the bottle but thats just me, other people have better luck with spinners.
