Well guys, I'm thinking about changing out from the AMS safety slides as their getting too expensive to replace.

It never fails, no matter what, every night, the dang shock pad breaks/falls off/exposes screw/ and the safety slide then breaks on impact with the screw and I nearly lose an arrow.

Anyways, I'm looking at the AMS steel ring sets. Wondering how they hold up and if they're a viable alternative. I like the fact that it's just the ring and a screw. No more small pieces in my headlamp reassembling an arrow.

Please let me know how the rings work for ya.

THat's what I wanted to hear. What happens with me is, on bigger fish, the shock cushions for the safety slides just couldn't hold up. Same on misses in muddy/clay lined bottoms. I'd bury my arrow half way and with all the much and debris, pulling an arrow out of that just destroys the cushion and then the slide on the next couple of shots.

All I shoot is rings, slides suck!. Occasionally the weld will break an loose an arrow but not very often!!! I love em. Oh yeah just re tie every now an then bc they r hard on the line wer it's tied bc the ring is so small

I have some if someone is interested. Don't use them any more tie to the back or use slides.

only problem with rings is, if you dont retie often the line will ware and break.
