Has anyone ever tried or doing this? I have 6 150w HPS and I thought about running them to an inverter to my motor battery I use a 35hp surface drive. Any advice or thoughts would help. Thanks in advance.

yea.. umm na.... even 150's with caps are pulling @ 1.3a each...You would burn the battery up before you could sneeze..

You could, 2 problems, one is you would be pullin close to a 100 amps from the battery. Second is your motor battery might be a starting battery not a deep cycle.

will not work you are talking AC and DC i dont think they make a HPS that runs DC if they do it would pull over 10 amps each.

he was talking about having an inverter in the mix..... I agree with the other guys its not worth the headache.....
