i have been using the cheap simmons 3-9x40 that came on my Winchester model 70 30-06 when i bought it about 5 years ago. Its done its job and ive never really had a problem with it other than it does get a little blury on some longer shots. but looking to step up to a higher qualitly scope this season.

So throw what ya go out there. I dont really have a price range yet but dont go to crazy on me. a few hundred dollars is what im looking at probably but tell me what and why even if it is a little more than a few hundred. But if its $600-$700 plus forget it lol lets try to keep it well below that.

Thanks

Here is another one to check out Vism. The have a a red or green laser with mil-dot crosshairs. I put the green laser on my AR. The have good clear glass too. I bought it at optic planet dot com. You can see the green laser better than the red but the red works when it gets cold the green doesn't. The laser is mounted inside the scope too.
Im confused on the whole vism deal. Whats the laser for? ive always though of lasers for close range. Care to edcuate me?

thats kinda what i was figureing it was. This gun is pretty much a deer rifle only. Wouldnt mind shooting a yote with it but ive never had the chance. Thanks for the input though i may look into one of those if i ever put together a gun for night coyote hunting.

What do yall think about the leupold rifleman scopes? I've always heard good things about leupold but I realized this is one of there low end scopes and just curious if has the same quality. I'm looking at it in the 3-9x40 version. Or is it worth it to go with the VX-2. The rifleman is more what I'd like to spend but understand I might have to spend more to get what's gonna be best for the price range
