So I was out at my parents house today checking out my dad's new gun safe. I look over to the left and in the rafters is a old box that had bow written on it. I grabbed it an looked inside and there is a 40# recurve inside, right handed though (i'm a south paw). My dad told me to take it and gave me my mom's bow, a rh 30# recurve. Now both of them are prob 40 years old but I strung them and they feel good. The compound I shoot is one I bought used in high shcool and is about 20 yrs old and have never had any problems with it. So I ask two things 1) if I put a new string on them would you feel safe having your friends shooting them? 2) what is the best way to mount a reel and rest on them (no threaded hole for either) I'm in dire need of a rh bow for friends. thx
