Shooting shallow holes along the dried up trinity

Well me and a buddy took off on foot today throughout the ranch to shoot the dried up river and the holes that get isolated. Most of them are shallow, clear and full of NN. Its a fun/different way to fish just wading through and busting these NN. Though most of them are small 24-36" fishSome of them get into the 40 LB ranges! The only real bad thing about it are the snakes, had a few close encounters but nothing bad as long as your smart and watch yo'selve its no problem. We only shot for a few hours but we shot 15 or so and only hit a few of the holes.

There really are some massive long nose in creeks I shot one that was 52 inches and had a freind with her that Would of spooled me and was probably 5'7-6'0 and 45-55 pounds no problem

No there's not any real population of them. I saw one before that must of got up there when it flooded and other than that an occasional small one gets caught on a trot line
