New guy here. I have been looking at everyones boats for a while now. Finally decided to register. Im gonna be building a little 1542 alumacraft up. I hope it turns out half as good as some of the rigs you guys/gals have.
2010 Riveted Alumacraft 1542 "SwampSled". With a 1999 Mercury 25hp longshaft mounted on a minijacker. 11/32nds plywood floors, 15/32nds front deck with 2x2 structure. Alumacraft side console.
Just me and the Dog she runs 30mph WOT on GPS.
With another 750lbs of people and gear she will go 25mph WOT on gps.
Either way she cruises on plane at 18mph at half throttle all day long, and runs in 8 inches of water.
For a Riveted boat its pretty tough. I have hit more logs and run aground more in the last 2 weeks with this boat than I have in all my previous boats combined over 20 years. North FL has a lot of fallen logs and shallow water.
Do I see a tunnel on that silver American Aiboat hull?
What are the plans with that boat? What size is it?
