I'm so glad he got knocked after all that bs dancing around and mocking wideman.

Guess I'll have to make a point to see that. I was at work and missed the entire event--even the prelims.

If he didn't act like a total jack azz it wouldn't b so bad but you go in the ring and totally mock someone of that caliber you deserve to get knocked out and wideman is a stand up guy in my book

I've never watched that stuff before but I google searched it YouTubed it and that arrogant spook had it coming.... "o your punches r so strong, timber!!!zzzzz zzzzz what's going on!?!?" dude, that cracker knocked you da f out.

He may be the best middleweight but not best UFC fighter of all time. Glad he knocked the f out!

He is a very good fighter and is one of the best so far. The problem with the "best of all time" arguement is that the game is always evolving.
Randy coutoure (I know my spelling is off) stayed at the top of the game for a very long time. So did Matt Hughes but with age and the game always changing it passed them by.
I don't think silva has been at the top of his game long enough to be ranked with guys like randy and Matt. But he very well could in the future

...all I will say is ask the other fighters, and they all say Silva....regardless....there is always some body tougher than you and every body has a bad night sooner or later.Anderson is a ****y sob,but so is Evans,Jones and St Pierre are class acts and bad azz's in my honest opinion

Liddell was my favorite. Best I'd say is Couture, his record ain't that great but he would and could fight in any class. Silva is just a skinny long armed Brazilian who spins.

There were lots but you can't put middleweights in the same class with heavies. The middles wouldn't be able to beat most the great heavies. Vanderla silva was a Badass. I just think the early fighters " knuckles fighters" mma was full of straight up tough bad mofos. The gracies were unreal. Too many to list.

Vanderla Silva, henso Gracie, tank Abbott, Toto Ortiz, Tim Silva, Matt Hughes, chuck Liddell, list goes on and on........ I ain't fightin none of them!

I agree with the early fighters Tim,but not at all with your list....did you really put Ortiz in there?Wow!There is no use in arguing ,but I give credit where credit is due and Anderon Silva is one of the best,no way around that.I would really like to see him fight St Pierre now

Matt hughes was just as ****y as Silva too!

Dan Severn. 100-18-7 career
Fedor Emelianko went nearly 10 yrs without a loss
Don Frye, frank shamrock, pat militich, sakuraba, belfort, rutten, aldo, Penn..... List goes on and on. Anderson Silva is. Bad dude no doubt. He wouldn't stand a chance against severn, wanderlei Silva or some of the old school guys. But there is no way to actually answer any of it so guess it don't matter really I just think the old school guys were better than the guys today. Meaner for sure. I know tito was a POS but he had a Hell of a run for a short while. No he isn't in the running for best of all time by no means

...as I said,I agree those old guys were a rare breed
I am sure glad this MMA stuff wasnt around when I thought I was a tough guy!!!Chit these kids put you in something you dont even see coming, and tear your arm off!!:laugh:My old tourney partner's boy T.J. Dillashaw......watch him...he is a little demon

Fedor was the man. Jon jones is silva 2.0. Having trained jui jitsu off and on for 12 years, silva is a freak. Wrestling has counter acted the sport. Hard to take a wrestler down to submit or GNP. Roger Gracie is a world class BJJ champ but hasn't transitioned well in MMA. Jacare seems to be the best of the jui jitsu guys but not on grand stage. Back when jui jitsu was so foreign to most fighters it was to late by the time you realized you were in trouble. One of my coaches has fought in the UFC and was on the TUFF show. Silva will be back, got caught showboating

Silva has stated before his show boating is part of his style, gets his opponent to let his guard down......I bet his style changes! It will be interesting,it seems once a long time un defeated fighter gets beat they are never the same.Just like anything mental is a huge factor
Any of these guys are dangerous, anybody that under estimates any opponent will get surprised sooner or later. My buddy TJ did,he went in thinking he had the fight in the bag,and got rocked....lost a huge contract for a simple split second mistake

He's deff a bad azz dude but when you act like that it takes a lot away from him. He has not lost in 6 years but sonnen beat his azz for 4 3/4 rounds then got caught. So yes he is one of the best but jones, Pierre are right up there and obviously wideman is a tough dude. If you are going to be on top have some class

Tank was awesome. He either knocked you you the f out or he got killed. He just threw haymakers lol bar fightin
