Can anybody offer advice on sneakin up on buffalo? The only shots I get are when they are haulin a** away from me, or the few stupid ones that arent paying attention and swim by the boat. 99% of them are spooking out past the lights and not offering a shot.

Is the noise from the genny scaring them? I dont have this issue with common carp or gar. Only buffs

Nah the genny shouldn't be the reason, the airboat i fish off ofs genny is louder than the boat! but it does help having a airboat to run them down with.

We have leds and shoot alot of buffs they are just spooky like grass carp.

just gotta keep your troller on high and move forward so when you do spook one its in range long enough for a snap shot.

i believe they were referring to the "running silent" part of LEDs. 496 levitator isnt exactly sneaky Kriscad :laugh:

buffs are spooky regardless unless they are tucked tigt in cover (buried in the grass, etc.) especially if they are pressured alot. best bet is to troll fast in areas where you know a big buff is living, if you can run up on them usually theyll freeze for a second and give you a shot, if the run, shoot the wake.

Here we just the run the fan fast till we get in some, if we get in alot we slow down, buffs are not to spooky here unless u are going for big ones in the day time. Then that takes a lil different style.
