this morning i was at work clearing off snow/ice and i kept hearing a ton of goose honks every time i got out of the truck and i couldnt pinpoint where it was coming from. Finally after it got louder as the sun was coming up i started to investigate where exactly all these geese were i couldnt find them.
So I ended up going up to the roof to see if i could see better and as i opened the hatch they went crazy and about 200 - 300 took off. they were just hangin out on the roof of a 3 story building. Didnt really expect it but it was real cool.

When I was in college we had a couple pairs nest on top of a 3 story science building, never saw any of the goslings come down, but never found any bodies either.

Those dang birds get smart near the end of a season, never thought they would go as far as sitting on the roof of a building?? WTF?! No wonder they dont wanna come play in the corn.

Imagine the view from your hospital room of 300 geese honking at you right after sugery!!

it was much warmer up there because of the air handling units and exaust fans. thats why i think they were there?

Are resident geese there no dummys seen some all grouped up on a heated driveway in boulder last year.

Geese will roost pretty much wherever they can find a suitable location. Rooftops and trees both. Nothing crazier than to see some geese in places like that.
