Just wondering who else is slaving for the man for free thanks to our awesome federal govt.
Vote all those bastards out!!
Vote all those bastards out!!
i think we are beginning to see a little of whats happening behind the curtain in washington this just gives the average citizen in the us a glimpse of how a broke super power works. we have seen this same setup played by many other countries in past decades around the globe. it doesen,t have to be this way for the usa if we had leaders for the last 25 years that knew how to run a country what we have going on by government and major cooperations in the usa amounts to trying to pacify everyone at the same time rapeing the country and the treasurey. [and they all watched as the house fell down]Cant wait for my boss to ask me hows my project going. I'm going to say well I'm making progress nothing in sight but I'm moving farword may finish sometime in the near future. Cause that's all inbeen hearing from our law makers :duh:
lol. No choice but show up. That aint an option.
And why won't vote them out work. This country won't get anybetter until we get term limits for Cogress. The only thing either side cares about is getting re elected. Dont give a **** about anything else. And right now re election means be more extreme that the next guy. Nobody can be in the middle.
That is perfectly said. That is the best take I have heard on this, maybe ever. How can we get this exact sentiment out to the general population to think about before election time?Being a elected official should not be a lifelong position that a person goes to law school to achieve. It is supposed to be a few years in the life of doctor, teacher, engineer, lawyer, or a farmer; a few years when they get a chance to speak for their neighbors. Not to rule them for as long as they possibly can.
glassbow you said a mouthful that time it would take a major push by the general public and i don,t know how to get it into gear the people who are getting all the free stuff won,t go along ihave seen a few times where things have been passed into law mostly by states and courts rule them invalid it would be a hard uphill battle a few years ago they had a term limit push it got squashed. but if things aren,t changed quickly the house will fall down.Term limits...how do we achieve that? The congressmen and senators sure as hell aren't going to bring that about. Is there a way to get something like that on the ballot itself? Seems to me it would pass at 80% or better.
I've said for a lot of years, 12 years max fed limit for house and senate combined. Better yet, 6 years max in house, 12 year max combined, and former elected officials should not be allowed to be lobbyists. Being a elected official should not be a lifelong position that a person goes to law school to achieve. It is supposed to be a few years in the life of doctor, teacher, engineer, lawyer, or a farmer; a few years when they get a chance to speak for their neighbors. Not to rule them for as long as they possibly can.
those dc style benefits amount to so much we can,t imagine it in our wildest dreams i was just watching the news just now they were coming out grinning saying they were close to giving us some more debt:re:Used to be like that, in the beginning. Needs to be a civil service position. Along the lines of jury duty.
It should not be a cake walk, you should come back after a yr of being in congress wrung out and with 3 stomach ulcers
from all the stress. Do your duty for expenses only and come home tired and proud of what you did for your people.
Not living high on the hog with a life time of D.C. style benefits.
