I have never tried this but I have a friend that swears that if you place a wild pear in a room, a spider will not come in that room. No chemicals around children or pets.
Old farmers say to put some hedge apples in there and it will run the spiders out...
lol cmooooon now lol ******* extermination :tu: Try THOSE dude I gotta know if they work lol

go to GNC and get a product called "de-tox" drink it and wait about 2 hrs. then stand out there and stare at them and they will all die as they look at you. works every time for me!!!

You can run down to your local animal supply store and get some Pyrethin. The concentrated stuff is the cheapest way to get it. The last stuff I bought was about $10 for about 8 oz. Mix it up according to the directions and spray away. This does not have much residual effect, but is supposed to be pretty safe to mammals ( I use it to make a home brewed fly spray for my horses. I also spray down my kennels when the dlys get bad). If you add some light oil to the mixture it helps add a bit of residual kill time (I use purple show oil that can be found in the horse grooming section of most farm stores). There is also some stuff called Cy-kick that is supposed to have a 90 day residual effect. Can't help on the price, or much else about it since I have never used the stuff myself. Good luck.
might check with a vet I have heard this has killed female dogs in heat

Get about 15 bug bombs, toss em in there, spiders gone.

I call bull on that one. Just looked at the label. It gives application specifics for treating flees, ticks, lice, and mange on dogs by "thoroughly wet the animal by dipping, sponging, or spraying. Allow animal to dry in a warm place without rinsing or toweling.". This is with a dilution rate of 8 oz in 12.5 gal water.

It has more to do with dogs in heat where there blood vesicles are dilated and closer to the skin and they absorbed it into their blood, and I’m sure it probably had something to do with the dilution

Could be. No way to really know for sure without all of the details. I know some about physiology and i still think there has to be something else involved in the scenerio you describe. I appreciate the concern being brought up though. I would hate to have someone have that happen to them (unless it was my neighbor's yapping, ankle biteing, on my lawn crapping Jack Russell. Kidding of course......kind of) As with anything, educate yourself and use your best judgement. As for me, I will continue to use the stuff because it works for me.

There's also a product called Tempo that works well. I mix it in a gallon spray can and hit our shrubs around the house and you can watch the bugs hit the ground in a few minutes. I also spray the house in the spring and have no problem with the spiderwebs on the siding for the whole summer. Supposed to be able to eat off the table after you sprayed it with this stuff. I just have never had the desire to test it that way. You can get it in single application or bulk in most hardware stores around here. Works on most bugs but I haven't had any luck with it on wasps.
