How long you leave it sitting before came back???? Am sure you contacted local Law Enforcement, wasn't towed off side of road or in impound yard ????

More information about it ...

"2am had a flat at the honey creek exit. Parked the boat there and went to get a jack. Came back at 6am and no boat.. Called all in pound and local authorities who may have towed it with no results. Have to assume someone took it so a police report is being filed."

All I can say is AAA, with the US Open and people traveling from all over the US to get there, AAA is cheap insurance call at anytime of day or night and stay with vehicle or trailer, plus you have to remember to use or ask for AAA discounts wherever they give them a lot of Resturant's even local ones give discounts. It covers any vehicle the card holder is in,with owning my own company and work trucks have used it several times with towing work trucks for various reasons... Something to look into and relatively cheap insurance also. Hopefully works out and gets boat recovered

I hope he had insurance. I carry insurance spire tires jack tools wire extra props etc. I say I'm gonna have enough tools to damn near replace a power head on the water. This should be a testament to all. Also a hitch locker is not a bad idea if you ever unhook a boat. I double lock mine always and the locks get tossed in the bed of the truck anytime I move it. Good luck man.

That's where those hitch lockers come in handy. You can't get the nut off. And even if you beat the hitch off with a hammer the lock still there. I hijacked my dads boat a long time ago that way, pulled the hitch. Hot wired it and went duck hunting. And there he was waiting for my azz in the driveway! Lol!!

Yeah if your whole hitch is bolted on that could be removed. I was just thinking about the actual lever part. Mud u best weld them bolts. And heck I need to check mine too.

Yup with battery power angle grinders now it's pretty easy to cut anything off, but that's noisy and the whole idea is to make it hard as possible to steal....Mud,didn't they steal your Hanko??? If they did, how did they get that one??? With fishing season may help someone else from getting stolen. Mines in yard behind chain link fence, with vehicles in front of gate, with locks on tongue also. And wasn't Rivers Edge Boat taken from a Hotel parking lot???

If the thief wants the boat bad enough, he's gonna get the boat. You're never going to be able to keep someone from being able to steal your boat. If they want it bad enough, it might take a lot of work but they'll get it. It's just something to try to deter most of those rotten people.
