Guys havent used this other than to buy stuff but now i need some help. I will be making the haul from Midland to Toledo Bend on the 9 th of March. I am taking one of my biggest coustomers kids out for there first bow fishing trip. Any help ????

havnt been out since the weather has warmed up too much work on the shoulders.the only real tip i can give you is to watch out for stumps..they are everywhere..STAY IN THE BOAT LANES!!!good luck and post some pics

I've been bowfishing that lake for 25 years and at the moment I can't give you much advice. Anything that anyone normally fishes is dry ground right now. I would say go south and look for a shallow bay. The wind will probably be an issue this time of year, so keep that in mind.

north end is muddy and not much grass just sand, your best bet would be to call around to marinas to check on boat ramps open and go from there I woould try and stay south and watch the wind but the carp are starting their thing and the gar are grouping up, we shot around 60 the other night in about 2 hrs but had to go in early but good luck and be careful

i bass fished it in nov on the southern end an bowfished at night it was really good there.. but like they said sta in the boat lanes because i hit a huge sandbar thinking i had went far enough around it an sucked a crap load of mud through my water pump an now my boat has a new water pump ha

I live on the lake at sam rayburn, but it is too low to fish. So me and a buddy been goin to Toledo
For the past two Saturday's, and have been waxin dat azz on the carp!!!! No lie!! If I could figure out
How photobucket works on here, I would post pics. Saturday b4 last my parter shot a common carp
That weighed at least 35-40lbs, little did I know the lake record was only 26.81lbs or sumthin like that.
Talk about a heart ache!!!! The fish were disposed of b4 I found out!! Lol!!!

is that really the record only 26 lbs? But we fished Rayburn this weekend also and every boat ramp we went to was open and we saw a ton of fish, shot some small gar, carp and decent gator gar so if you dont wanna take on all the stumps and get clearer water you could always go there and try it out.

Man I hate to here of the water being that low. I have a place 15 miles from Rayburn Dam and plan to be there in about 3 weeks. I drove across the 147 bridge on my way home in November thinking the winter rains would bring it up before I got back.
