so this is the week ive set aside to fabricate and put together all the shiny new stuff ive bought over the winter. after much though and preparation I bought a reduction from arrow prop back in January. this was after the 3rd call and inquiries about running a alternator off a redrive. Anyway point is Arrowprop knew full well what I had planned. After the inquiry and some R &D on their part they said it couldn't be done. - not possible. but they would sale me a redrive and it would work just fine.
fast forward to now- After the standard direct drive tear down, a new fan shroud base plate, and much planning, I thought I'd test fit the redrive before final assembly. After a few minutes its apparent the standard arrowprop reduction is meant to fit a 4" or longer shaft engine. The Honda GX630 is a 1"x 3" shaft. After 2-3 phone calls and a lot of frustration I was offered a full refund. "It won't work, there's no way", I was told. - what would you do?
