I spent several months around Kalamazoo this past year working on the oil spill. (You probably heard my airboat on the river) maybe i can help. In early March, you will have better luck close to the coast. The water is still too cold further up. There are big gar around port Neches and Sabine pass. Work the edges of the cuts that come out of the marsh into the bayfront. not unusual to find them out in open water if you can catch it clear enough to see them that time of year. lots of wind. Trinity bay is also an option. Check around the HL&P discharge.

Hope this helps. If it dont help you,Im sure it will help someone. Steve

PS The next time you are in HOOTERS in Kzoo, tell Christine Steve said ,"HI"
