Just start with fully charged batteries and the converter should keep up just fine.
12-50s same as 6-100s, you running you converter all the time? its not working very hard that's for sure! thanx for sharing. -there you go Andreww5001 that should ease your reservations. looking at his numbers I think your little 25 will probly do you fine:tu:

This isn't my first boat/light setup, done halos and 400w HPS so far.
Running 36v 101 on this boat so I'm already adding a battery. I've got my mind set on 10x 80w LED 110v. But I keep changing my mind every other day on it. Tossed around the though of 8 or 10x 150HPS the other day....
But I keep going back to the LED idea.
I'm hoping I can last the night on just batteries and won't need 3 converters. We did it with our 2072 running 24v 84lb troller with Group 31 185s. I'm gonna run 3 of those same batteries on this boat.

Thank you guys so much. I appreciate y'all helping me with all this. It really does ease my mind as to what I should do and what my equipment can do. I guess probably more than anything I just need to trial and error the rig and see what works.
