The problem is that the site crashed at the worst time of the year. We started over from scratch in the dead of winter, which means nobody is doing anything useful related to bowfishing. I agree that there is a lot of nonsense on here, but really no more than was on the old BFC, there just isn't as much good stuff on here yet to offset the bad. Once people get back into the swing of fishing and working on boats and buying new equipment, I have faith that the useful information will start making an appearance again. I will say this, I stopped reading AT because you can't read a single thread without someone 'Holier Than Thou' telling you how you are doing it wrong. That place pisses me off. This is way better.

I laughed out loud when I read that. As the site lighting expert, I can only imagine the kind of stuff you get asked. At least the dumb ones are smart enough to ask in a PM instead of a public thread, that way their ignorance is only known to you and not the entire world!

Can I run my 12 volt Navagation lights and cd player off 230 volts from my genny if I use my trolling motor's windings as a step-down voltage transformer?? Will I then have to run electrolytic filter-capacitors to remove the AC humm from my stereo speakers?. Would this create an unsafe voltage drop or ground loop?

I have looked all over my boat and have failed to find a serial port?? Is this typical??


Has anyone on here experimented with "Live" hull techonlogy, I was told that running a live (Hot) 120 volt leg to the boat's hull will cause the hull to become live, and will halt the formation of algea, barnacals and zebra mussles.
