Interesting, investing in safety gear is money well spent. I wrap my rope around the throw cushion, so its always ready to go.
Wait a minute mud those are two different things, you wanting a rope deployment bag or a weight?
So forgive my ignorance, but it appears to be a non snag (maybe) weight you attach to a rope when throwing a line up into a tree for climbing, or for throwing a line for rescue on a cliff or land. I'd assume not in water since it would sink that end of the line the person is reaching for. If for water rope rescue deployment, I would think a dock bumper might be a better option so the swimmer can see rope/rope end and it would not sink out of reach.
