Ti 20 Issues

Ive had several old school Ti20's for years and they have worked flawlessly for a long time. I recently purchased some of the newer units and they seem to be a lot weaker for some reason. Ive trashed 2 in as many nights, one was somewhat understandable as the arrow got stuck in the weeds and I could not get the button pushed in time or get the drag loosened up in time and it ripped the guts out of it. Is this a problem with the newer units? I have several Muzzys ordered but Im curious if their is a pattern here with the newer Ti's? Im going to strip them down and try to piece one or 2 together :)

Haven't heard of anyone having those sort of problems. Didn't know there was a older TI20 since the've only been out a couple of years. The 4003SA is the older version of the TI20 and was a good reel also.

the only problem i have ever had is the foot breaking on them, no other major issues with them.
Are you sure you have TI20's because I haven't seen any foot issues with them. The regular 20's have the weak foot.

yes they are the ti 20, i think it might be my reel seat because the two i have broke are in the same place on the rear of the foot. i might be over tightening but if i dont the reel wobbles in the seat. im gonna try a new seat as soon as i can decide what to go with, right now i have the muzzy seat.

i love the regular synergy 20's havent had a problem with any component on alternating 2 back n forth for that past 6 months.....zebco and ti20 suck in my book....ill try a muzzy soon and stay with the 20's...but i understand that sometimes you just get a defective reel
