Correct. During CLOSED season. Same as it is now. What is being pushed is extending the closed season for a posdiable few weeks or a few months. That's what is to be decided.

Right now I'm dealing with the costal fisheries. They deal in salt only. But you can bet I'm Gona be all over that too!!!!

The catfish debate will be almost impossible to over turn. (Sad to say) They look at an organization such as the TBA and say "There are less than 100 people that bowfish in Texas; why make it legal to bowfish catfish?" (Even though there are many more who bowfish) AND even if we did have the numbers; The catfish anglers out number us greatly and DO NOT want us shooting their catfish. Even though a lot of times that is the fish I see the most of while bowfishing.

The TBA is looking into the floundering issue. Steve, I was there too remember, but I won't turn my cheek. They know us now, they know we'll fight. It might not matter, your right to, it probably won't matter, but I'll fight, damn straight I'll fight.
Derick, we need to call U.S. Sportsmans Alliance. The TBA is a member now, they might can help. I know a guy with the Congressional Sportsmans Foundation, I'll call him too.
As far as catfish, I'd like to know what rumor yall are hearing and what the source is. They way I understand it, we have to have a friend on the commission to bring that up and I don't think we do at this point.

Im not against yall. Im just not in a position to be of any help except to give yall a little inside info from time to time. FrogHunter, Closing season for a few more months is a slap in the face and a huge step in the direction of closing nights permanently and is intended that way. Im not freaking guessing here, Im telling yall what the agenda is. At least I got this out there so take it for what its worth.

I gotcha Steve. It was a tough pill to swallow last time for sure. I seen your posts on texas bowhunter, I see where rumors can get wild.
Tim, I heard that from Walter too, but it seems it went quite. I haven't heard one way or the other, but I'll be sure and check with him, if I can get ahold of him.

Damn it would be awesome if they would treat us with the respect tht other anglers get heck if anything set up a bag limit per person or per boat on them
