Hey guys. I am running a lowrance hds9 and a hds5 on my boat for navigation. The problem is that I've had transducers for temp and depth but they always seem to get broken off. I can't seem to figure out why. Maybe it's product quality, rocks, mud, backing into stuff or someone is sneaking around the neighborhood dressed as clowns breaking transducers! Lol! Anyway, I was wondering if any of you had some input on a better way to mount one. I know I don't really need one. I can usually feel it when the water gets to shallow when driving. Lol! It kinda sucks having the new technology and only being able to use the gps. Thanks.

I don't think you can do that on aluminum boats can you?

I know we glass them in bass boats at work but I was told aluminum makes it act dumb.
