I had a minn kota troller extension handle for a short time,wasn't real impressed with it,kept slipping when i turned the handle.

you could try stripping the handle off and putting a piece of pvc over it.

i bought one from wal mart and it worked pretty good think its made by minn kota

I use a bigfoot extension handle. It clamps onto the main shaft of the trolling motor. I also wired in a on/off switch to the negative wire, because since the extension handle is clamped onto the shaft, you can adjust the setting or turn it on/off. I just set the trolling motor speed where i want it, then use the on/off foot switch to control it
